This was my first painting - ever. It was a bit of a joke. We needed something big to go over the fireplace in Florida. The painting is 8 feet tall and 42 inches wide!! I was good at sky and sea! Maybe I'll do another ... |

I thought the scene of a rainy day in NYC would be
an interesting piece. The umbrellas, bright raincoats and taxi cabs were
all inspiring. 24" x 20" |

This one is a bit of a laugh. I wanted to use up the canvas from the big one (above). This is 48 inches wide by 18 inches tall. If you imagine a bit you can see the city and the boats moored near dusk. |

Dante's Inferno could have inspired this, but it was
really an impressive photograph from the web showing a forest fire as
well as a similar piece of art I saw somewhere else. This one is small
too. |

One afternoon ... when you look from Longboat Key over
towards Sarasota, this is what you may see. 24" x 20" |

Spiral in color. This was a play with color after I did the one below in black and white. I find the spiral an exciting and intriguing mathematical formulation - even better in living color. Done in Winter 2005 in Florida. 24" x 20" |

Here is the one in black and white. Done in Winter 2005 in Florida. 24" x 20" |
| This replaced the boats that was my first above. I painted over the boats! The three figures are hidden in the burlap in the lower half of the painting. Painting is in two pieces: 96" by 42". Large! | |
