Meditations - From Spirit Circle - Spring-Summer 2010

The following meditations opened and closed the Spirit Circle discussion group in the first half of 2010. During that time the group studied The Power of Now by Eckart Tolle and Seth Speaks by Jane Roberts. These readings influenced some of the meditations.

Breath. Listen to the silence of your own breathe. Hear the magnificent vibrations it allows us to access when we are open. In. Out. We come together in this collective energy field – to share our energies with those in need, to share our thoughts with those willing to listen, and to share our love with all. We seek connection by our presence, however, we are the connection – we are the spirit of the energy field – we are pure source energy. Flood your body with the realization that you are source – you are love – you are the essence of life … and the essence of soul. Open your eyes now and be present in the Now.

Everything has a place and purpose. Nothing in this life happens without all the noble things we can imagine attached to it: no birth, no trial, no success, no illness, and no death exists but that it doesn’t manifest a part of us we didn’t know, and part of us that is natural and complete in every way. So be present and welcome life. Welcome who you are at every instant – and welcome each other for whom we are in that instant. Our energies and interactions all have merit and all are part of source. We are source. We are the universe both seen and hidden, past, present and future, both imagined and real. Go in Peace. Go in Kindness. Go in Love. And so it is.

Center your mind on ‘nothingness’ – allow realization of your connection with Source – your Being-ness in and of Source. Feel the power of Being here with others – the energy – the connectedness to each other and to Source. We are Spiritual Beings having a human experience. Our Being-ness is Source; We are source energy – the source itself. When we think, we think within the illusion and limitations of this human form. When we empty our thoughts and become truly conscious, we bask in the one-ness we share with all things and all forms. Move your Being to that empty place of Power. Be now in the infinite multi-dimensional universe of peace, ease, support, plentitude, and love in every way possible. Let us be still for a moment in this place of emptiness. Just focus on your breathing. Be aware of the energy field of your body – don’t think about it, just feel it. [Moment of silence] Bring yourself back from your journey now. Open your eyes when you are ready. As you need, come back to human consciousness and awareness. Come back to this arena of love and harmony.

Again, we join hands to intermingle our energy with the energy of the Circle – knowing as we do that we are all bonded together, whether together like this or apart, for we are all part of source energy and the universal love that binds us. Allow that energy to guide you to that place of tranquility, peace, support and love. Know that in the human time ahead you will share this magnificent energy you have tapped into with others. You will radiate this energy to all so that they too can become aware of their true connection Source. Open your eyes now and be present in the Now. Go in Peace. Go in Kindness. Go in Love. And so it is.

Imagine yourself as a point of consciousness floating in the vastness of space – the vastness of God’s mind. You are that mind – Mind with a capital “M”. All that you imagine from this point becomes real. You are the portal to your own enlightenment. You have infinite energy – the power of Nature, the power of Self, and the power of Love, Relationship and Connectedness. In our connectedness and our relationships we find the One-ness with self, with consciousness, and with our deepest and most intimate Being. Bring yourself to the silence of this Circle for a moment. Connect to each other. Bask in the infinite consciousness we share – feel the common One-ness with Self.

Tonight we’ve talked of Love, relationships, romance, being worthy, and enlightenment. We know deep inside that all these and more are ours for the taking when we connect ourselves with the infinite Mind of the friendly and supportive Universe we live in. All the Love, Passion, and Connection we seek exist as they always have in our lives; we need only open ourselves to them – to give them as willingly as we receive them. To know that at our most fundamental level we are bonded together as Source Energy and Universal Love, and that energy brings us all to a common place of peace and love that we each re-radiate to the Universe. Open your eyes now and be present in the Now. Go in Peace. Go in Kindness. Go in Love. And so it is.

Find that place of inner peace within you – the place that doesn’t depend on the perceptions of your ego nor is associated with subjective judgments of good and bad. We know that we can transcend the events and actions the ego insists on to maintain its identity: addictions, dramas, injuries, and problems we begin to think take on a real meaning. Real meaning is in the Now – in transcendence – in surpassing negativity – and in conscious love and compassion. We join in this circle to remind ourselves that we are Spiritual Beings having a human experience, and as such, we always maintain our love and connection with each other and with the source energy we share and that is our true nature. And so it is.

Join hands. We remind ourselves that the ultimate purpose of the world lies not within the world but in transcendence of the world. We remind ourselves that our presence here is to enable the divine purpose of the universe to unfold through us – us as we are Now. Now is where it’s at. To paraphrase one author: 'The past is a ghost that need not haunt us any longer. The future is a dream for good or bad that may never materialize.' All we truly have is Now. What we think, do and say in the Now gives action to our Divine Purpose. Open your eyes and give thanks for those around you – for the only time you exist in – the Now, and for your connectedness to each other and to source energy. Go in Peace. Go in Kindness. Go in Love. And so it is.

We join together in this friendly and supportive Universe to grow and evolve. We join together to remind ourselves of our heritage – our Oneness with all that is, with God. We come together as a matter of choice: a choice to be conscious, a choice to be here in the Now, a choice to relinquish ego in favor of divinity, a choice to define my real self only by true power and intense conscious presence. We acknowledge that we learn and evolve through debate and understanding. This Circle is one forum in our lives that provides these to us. Let us be conscious. Let us surrender to the power of our own evolution here tonight. We hold these thoughts as we bask in the flow of life. And so it is.

Breath. Inhale and be conscious of the breath of life. We have shared our insights and understandings in our journey. We have learned from Tolle many of the same lessons we have learned from the Tao: if we surrender and yield to the flow of life, all the wealth of the universe flows to us – love, joy, prosperity, and peace. Give up our subtle ways of resisting life. Be conscious of the other paths our mind wants us to shun. Understand that we are Beings in a dynamic cosmic process – a process that extends far beyond anything our mortal minds can even fathom. We need only open ourselves to the wondrous elements and dimensions of that process to tap into the divinity that is in us all. Stand in awe of this collective energy field that we make up here, today. . Go in Peace. Go in Kindness. Go in Love. And so it is.

Be aware of your highest and best self; be aware of the peace, joy and wealth that the Universe always has and always will provide for you; and be aware of your divinity – your continuous and unwavering connection to source energy. Tonight, we partner with one another to expand and grow as we learn about ourselves and the wonderful potential the Universe provides for us, in us, and through us. Open our hearts and minds to these ideas. And so it is.

Join hands and again feel the wonderful connectedness with each other and with the Universe. We have a new vocabulary about building a new intimacy with our creative and full-color selves. We have new ways to see and appreciate other people – to see opportunities and the excitement in our daily lives. We’ve learned new positive ways to view change and transformation. Life, with all its dimensions, infinite possibilities, and bliss, lies waiting for us. Wonder awaits us. Go in Peace. Go in Kindness. Go in Love. And so it is.

In this Circle, we feel the collective energy of our Inner Beings – our energy personality essences. We give energy and lasting strength to each other, to the reality we perceive as well as to the unseen reality that is more expansive, more inclusive, more supportive, and more loving than anything we can imagine from this platform we stand upon. With only the hint of a greater reality, we drop our luggage from the past, and shed our fears about the future; we open our hearts and consciousness to new possibilities about ourselves, and we move to act on what we learn with boldness, kindness, and love.

As we part, again let us draw lasting strength and power from the richness of each other’s personalities and the realities that overlap in this time and space. We remind one another that there are higher realities independent of these sensory dimensions – this world so filled with our egos and boundaries. We remind ourselves of places where the true nature of a matter-less and supportive universe unfold according to our conscious acts. Pause to wonder at the magnificent possibilities that await you. Glow with awe at the power, wisdom, and love you hold in your true Being. The portal is open for you to access and use these gifts of the universe. Go in Peace. Go in Kindness. Go in Love. And so it is.

We remind our inner selves with this reading and discussion, that we are spiritual beings having a human experience; that we co-create and live in a multi-dimensional reality of unlimited possibilities – a truth of individualized consciousness that is limitless, infinite, matter-less, and timeless. As we perceive ourselves in this reality, we are only one manifestation of our soul; yet, we have all the true nature of the universe working in our favor, when we open our hearts and minds to see the Truth. Tonight, we share our thoughts, our souls, and our perceptions of the metaphysical landscape. And so it is

Seth tells us our soul is so much more than our immortalized egos. We are like three-dimensional mortal ice cubes belonging to an ever growing and evolving immortal iceberg of infinite dimensions and immense proportions. We have every right to stand in awe on this platform as we realize our true natures, our true power, and our infinite capacity for love. We are not static beings; we are dynamic creatures living in a multi-verse. Connect with your realities. Go in Peace. Go in kindness. Go in Love. And so it is.

What is spiritual is physical. What is physical is spiritual. When consciousness exists in mind, it exists in body. The energies of our body pervade our mind and consciousness. Do not court duality – do not divide things like good and evil, matter and spirit, male and female, known and unknown, emotional and rational, pain and bliss, or even life and death. We are unified Divine Energy. Anything other than that, we create to grow, evolve, and extend ourselves spiritually and physically. We are open to the true nature of spirit and the true nature of our deepest and most inner beings. We are here to grow and evolve. And so it is.

Rev. David Owen Ritz said, "We see the world through our own lenses … the lenses of our own beliefs, the blinders of our biases and perspectives." For many, this provides a life of struggle, illness, sin, and lack; for others, it provides a life of ease, health, and bounty. Through our studies, we work to remove the lenses through which we see the world – through which we interpret experience. We seek not to judge or live in a world of ‘good and bad,’ but to live in a world that helps us expand our thinking, provides us new perspectives on our true nature, and that lifts us and all mankind to a higher plane. Draw power from this Circle, power to change and to see with new eyes. Go in Peace. Go in Kindness. Go in Love. And so it is.

Our being here is about spirituality … spirituality that is personal, physical, and metaphysical. We come to connect with each other – to touch and be touched by each other, to teach and to learn, and to love and be loved, often in ways exciting and unanticipated. Each connection we make here, and with others in the world, gives us a new opportunity to see Life and Love in a new way, and to bring what we learn into our Heart and Soul. Our holding hands in this circle is part of each connection we make, but know that in your hands right now are Life and Love – and the hands of God. You hold all that you ever were, are, and will be. So, say Thank You to the Universe and Thank You to each other for being part of you. A nice way to say thank you as we start tonight is with a hug for the person on either side of you. And so it is.

As we leave tonight let each of us commit ourselves to being a Living-Learning-Loving Laboratory. A Laboratory because that mind space encourages our creativity, our risk taking, our making bold moves, and our breaking boundaries and restrictions we believe we live within. A Living Laboratory because that’s what we choose to do in this existence – this system. We’re physical – we created a birth for ourselves and we’ll create a death. In between, we’re evolving, growing, and learning more about ourselves – our spiritual selves. A Learning Laboratory because that’s one of the reasons we’re here. It’s not to have an impact, it’s not to leave a legacy, it’s not to do penance for some real or imagined sins – it’s only to learn and integrate that learning with all the other things our Soul knows and is trying out – some through this physical being. And A Loving Laboratory because that’s the part of the expanding core we’re made of. Loving is one reason we’re here. Compassion and passion are woven into our souls, and we need only allow them to come out through us. Much of the learning we do comes about through the loving we do. We stand in this loving flow of energy from Source. Let’s dedicate ourselves to being consciously aware of the Living-Learning-Loving Laboratory around us. Go in peace. Go in kindness. Go in Love. And so it is.

As we come together to discuss this book, let’s not let the skeptical side of our personality prevent us from appreciating as possible the mind-expanding ideas and concepts Seth puts forth. We too have grappled with the implications of other metaphysical concepts and with the contemplation of our spiritual natures: God is all there is; We are spiritual beings having a human experience; We co-create our lives with the God-force or source energy; Our purpose in this realm is to grow, evolve, and mature spiritually. So we have a book before us that brings together all these concepts into an integrated coherent and far more complex explanation of what reality is – reality far beyond anything we might have dreamed. So let’s be open to what we’ve created for ourselves. Let’s learn from it … and learn from each other. We are what it’s all about. We celebrate our being here, connected together for this evening, to learn and grow, by sharing ourselves. We’ll start tonight by doing that with a hug for the person on either side of us. And so it is.

Last week we talked briefly about creating an environment for ourselves to grow and evolve spiritually. We gave this a name: a Living-Learning-Loving Laboratory. This infinite space is where we can inspire ourselves and take risks, where we can find new ways to live and explore this realm, where we can consciously connect to other beings and souls in more meaningful ways, and ultimately where we will be conscious so we learn from our experiences. So, I challenge each of you to try some laboratory work in one area for the coming week. That challenge is to express your love in some unique way to at least three people you have not known before, and that you might not otherwise support or have compassion for. Help them; make them feel welcome in your life; and remember what you do. Most of all, ‘Be Conscious’ of all the opportunities to build your Living-Learning-Loving Laboratory. Go in peace. Go in kindness. Go in Love. And so it is.

Welcome to this Living-Learning-Loving Laboratory where we are each not only the experimenters, but also the subjects. Here we hone our spiritual skills – skills that move us along the road to spiritual evolution and enlightenment, and that bring us more in tune with source energy or All That Is. We look for the lessons in life and spiritual ways to interpret them. We look for the places where we feel stretched or incredulous because we know when we near that edge of the known universe, there’s apt to be some important learning there. So join together on this journey – this grand experiment. We celebrate our togetherness and our common quest for these goals. A nice way to start our celebration tonight is with a hug for the person on either side of you. So let’s get started. And so it is.

We feel stretched and challenged by Seth and by the other avenues we use to pursue our spiritual agenda. That’s good. Like new muscle, the best growth comes about from exercising and stretching rather than quietude. We can flex and grow by being daring, by challenging the boundaries that we somehow find in our daily lives, by looking for new ways to see the universe, and by doing new and unique things with the people we love or interact with. These are some the ways of a Living-Learning-Loving Laboratory. Find your way. Go in peace. Go in kindness. Go in Love. And so it is.
